What is Geneveve?
The Geneveve, developed by a gynecologist, is an FDA approved cryogen-cooled monopolar radiofrequency (CMRF) device for the treatment of vaginal laxity (see Geneveve FAQ below). Vaginal laxity often leads to stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and decreased sexual satisfaction. The Geneveve is designed to stimulate fibroblasts by utilizing non-invasive, low-risk application of heat to the vaginal wall to restore and generate healthy collagen. This clinically proven device has been changing women’s lives in over 50 countries. Geneveve strives to enhance many areas of feminine wellness, improving:
Vaginal laxity (looseness or overstretched vaginal wall) resulting in issues with
- Stress Urinary Incontinence (leakage of urine)
- Vaginal lubrication
- Vaginal sensitivity
- Sexual satisfaction
The Arbutus Laser Centre is proud to become one of the first vConfidence certified providers to offer the Geneveve treatment. Following one 30-minute treatment performed by our Registered Nurses, Maureen McGrath (Nurse Continence Advisor) & Mimi Le Fox (Clinical Director), patients notice significant improvements in vaginal laxity leading to improvements in stress urinary incontinence and increased sexual satisfaction. The procedure requires no anesthesia and minimal discomfort. There is no downtime and patients may continue regular activities the same day as treatment.
