Clear and Brilliant
The Clear and Brilliant is an innovative laser using an erbium fiber-optic system and a very unique delivery system that creates thousands of micro-thermal defects to gently resurface and rejuvenate the skin. Each session renews between 5%-20% of the treatment area by removing small portions of the skin and stimulating new collagen formation during the healing process. The Clear and Brilliant treatment is helpful for improving skin tone, texture, skin radiance and removing mild surface pigmentation. In addition, applying Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) topically to a Clear and Brilliant can enhance treatment outcomes.
The CO2 laser delivers “fractionated” zones of ablation, or removal of skin tissue, via a special delivery system that rolls across the treatment area. Between 20%-50% of the skin is removed with each treatment session, but because most of the skin remains intact, healing is quicker than dermal skin resurfacing. It is more aggressive than Fraxel Re:Store treatments and designed for more significant problems.
The E-Matrix uses fractionated radio-frequency to renew part of the skin surface to mold and create new dermal collagen during the healing process. It is safe to use in all skin types and is especially helpful in treating acne scars.
Excel V (Laser Genesis)
Excel V (Laser Genesis) is dual wavelength long pulse YAG laser that gently heats the dermis, or under layer of the skin, in a controlled manner. This laser improves collagen production, reduces facial redness and reduces pore size. The results are improved skin tone, plumper lips, smoother texture, and clearer complexion. This is a non-invasive treatment with minimal to no down time. Several treatments are required.
Fraxel Dual Laser Resurfacing
The Fraxel Dual Re:Store creates thousands of micro-thermal zones which are replaced with new healthy skin in only a few days. As opposed to a light laser peel, this device penetrates well into the dermis of the skin. New collagen is produced, and the overall color and texture of the skin can be improved. Even delicate areas such as the neck, chest and close to the eyes can be treated. The fraxel dual option allows for the treatment of pigmentation. Usually 3-5 treatments are required at a minimum of 4 week intervals. Other than some redness and swelling for 1-4 days, there are few other side effects. In addition, applying Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) topically to a Fraxel Re:Store can enhance treatment outcomes.
The Fraxel Re:Pair is more aggressive and suitable for deeper lines such as those around the mouth, eyes and cheeks. It can also significantly tighten the skin. There is a period of downtime which can last from 3-7 days, and only 1 or 2 treatments are typically needed. Careful and thorough homecare is required during this period.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments have been available for several years, but have become more refined, objective, and more predictable in results. IPL has been used effectively and safely to treat a variety of cosmetic skin problems following extensive clinical research.
IPL is directed at the skin. The light passes through the outer surface of the skin (epidermis) and penetrates into the under layer of the skin (dermis). The light energy stimulates a cell called a fibroblast to produce new collagen. Over several treatments, this new collagen often smoothes and softens the appearance of wrinkles, pore size and textural irregularities. Using special filters to control the wavelength of pulsed light, sun-damaged skin with pigment abnormalities, spider veins and rosacea can be lightened and improved. The skin is cooled during treatment with gel and/or a cold air device.
We utilize the Syneron IPL device which combines different broadband ranges of light with radiofrequency. It has an active monitoring system for skin temperature allowing for safer treatments even at higher light intensity.
This device produces the ideal “laser peel”, and is suitable to lightly resurface facial skin, reducing pigment, fine lines and pores. There are a few days of downtime during which the peeling takes place. Usually only one or two treatments are required.
Venus Viva by Venus Concepts
Venus Viva is a new non-surgical, fractional radio- frequency device designed to resurface the skin by damaging existing collagen and stimulating the healing response in the body. Once collagen has been damaged, the body begins to repair the collagen by replacing it with new collagen. The Venus Viva also stimulates the body to produce new fibroblasts, which are the “houses” that create collagen.
The Venus Viva is suitable for all skin types and is typically used for smoothing skin texture, reducing the appearance of acne scars, and overall anti-aging. Usually 3-5 treatments are required at a minimum of 4 week intervals. In addition, applying Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) topically to a Venus Viva can enhance treatment outcomes.
