Our Approach to EMSELLA®

Q: Do I have to take my pants and underwear off with EMSELLA® treatments?
A: EMSELLA® treatments can be done with your underwear and loose pants on. We don’t recommend wearing tight jeans as they are restricting and we want as close contact with the chair as possible.
Q: Can I have EMSELLA® treatments while menstruating?
A: We recommend planning your treatments around your menstruation cycle because it can make your period worse and/or increase period cramping.
Q: Do the EMSELLA® treatments hurt? What does it feel like?
A: During your EMSELLA® treatment, you will feel repeated involuntary contractions of the pelvic floor muscles and/or even a gravitational pull of these muscles, however, it is not considered painful and it is very well tolerated.
Q: Do I need maintenance treatments after I complete my series?
A: Maintenance treatments are recommended and are dependent on your condition. This is assessed on an individual basis and discussed after the completed series.
